Viral Video: The FIR filed over the incident stated that the man wanted to kill the woman because he could not have his way with her. The incident occurred a day after a woman was killed and her friend was injured when a man hit them with his car, allegedly following a row at a Jaipur hotel.
Victim’s Identity and Location
In Jaipur’s Malviya Nagar, Uma Suthar, who was around twenty years old, was killed by Mangesh’s car early on Tuesday, according to a complaint filed on Wednesday by her friend Raj Kumar, who was hurt in the collision. Around 11 p.m. on Monday, Raj Kumar (27), who claimed to have invested money, said he and Uma arrived at the hotel. They eventually made their way downstairs to the restaurant and began eating.
Observation of Mangesh and Girlfriend
“Then we saw Mangesh and his girlfriend arrive in the restaurant and they sat at another table. They were consuming liquor and after about half an hour, they started hurling obscene comments at us. We were worried about the comments and when their comments did not stop, we had to go and talk to them,” he said. Kumar is seen standing in front of Mangesh’s car in a now-viral video. Then Mangesh puts his car in reverse and smashes it into Uma and Kumar. Kumar went down sideways, but Uma took the worst of the blow from the collision.
Hotel Staff Intervention
The FIR claims that despite the hotel staff’s best efforts to stop Mangesh from acting inappropriately, he continued and crashed his car into the two of them. A formal complaint was filed for murder and attempted murder at the Jawahar Circle police station, citing relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The hotel’s owner was a mutual friend of the four, according to SHO Dalbeer Singh. While Uma lived in Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh, and worked for an event management company, Raj Kumar is a resident of Jhunjhunu and rents an apartment in Jaipur.
