Viral Video: Hardik Pandya wasn’t well-known for his spiritual or religious side when he first came onto the scene. Things have changed significantly for the Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper, though, as he is now frequently spotted engaging in rituals and openly expressing his religious convictions. Hardik and his older brother, Krunal Pandya, who plays for the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the current IPL 2024, can be seen dancing and singing the “Hare Rama, Hare Krishna” bhajan in a recent Instagram post.
Instant Social Media Sensation
The video went popular on social media almost immediately. Hardik only wrote “Grateful” as the caption for his photo, but the post’s date also happens to be the first day of Chaitra Navratri in 2024.With three straight losses to begin the IPL 2024, MI did not have a strong start to the competition.
But MI won handily by 29 runs in their most recent game against the Delhi Capitals (DC). When MI made 234/5, the biggest total ever achieved without a batsman reaching a half-century, DC tried hard but could only muster 205/8, with Tristan Stubbs still undefeated on 75 off 25.
Comparison of IPL 2024 Teams’ Performance
With two points apiece, MI, DC, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are currently the final three teams in the standings. Whereas RCB and DC have each played five games but have only managed two points, MI have played one fewer game and have only managed two points from four games. Rajasthan Royals (RR) are at the top of the IPL 2024 points standings after four victories in as many games. In their upcoming match, MI and RCB will square off in Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on April 11.
