Viral Video Shows Female SHO Slapped in MP
The viral video was uploaded on X by the ‘NDTV India’ account. It shows the SHO addressing a crowd of villagers who had blocked the highway in protest. The incident stemmed from a tragic accident earlier that day when a speeding car killed 50-year-old Ghurka Lodhi in Dargunwa village, Madhya Pradesh. The driver fled the scene, leaving the locals enraged. In response, villagers blocked the highway, halting traffic for over an hour. After receiving this information, the female police officer in MP reached the spot to clear the jam. During the protest, the woman SHO slapped a protester hard. In retaliation, the crowd manhandled her, and someone slapped her back.
Social Media Reactions to the Incident

There should be immediate action, not investigation.” Another said, “Na toh daroga sahab haath uthaate, na unhe bhi haath padta. Jaisi karni, waisi bharni.” Yet another user commented, “Jis prakar se bina baat sunne thappad maara jaata hai, mahila police karmi ke dwara, ye bahut galat hai aur galat ka anjaam hamesha bura hi hota hai.”
The situation has caused a great deal of tension between the police and villagers. Authorities are investigating the accident and searching for the accused driver while working to calm the situation.
