Viral Video: A woman went for a morning walk in Hyderabad when she was attacked by about 15 stray dogs in a terrifying case of dog menace. The Manikonda municipality was the scene of the event on Saturday, and social media users have been sharing the CCTV footage of it. Despite being encircled by the dogs, Rajeshwari, the woman, maintained her composure and was seen attempting to chase the stray dogs away with her shoes.
Struggle Amidst Fear
She is seen tripping and falling as she tries to flee the onslaught. She did, however, manage to get back up and get away from the dogs. She was somewhat hurt during this, but she was lucky to get away without any serious incidents happening to her. According to a senior Manikonda official who spoke to PTI on Sunday, the municipality has a partnership with the animal welfare group Blue Cross, which on Saturday and Sunday captured a sizable number of canines for sterilisation and vaccination. The official further stated that the drive would go on.
Public Outcry
“After the necessary procedures, the dogs would be released back into their original territory,” TOI quoted an official from Manikonda Municipality as saying. People expressed their outrage in the comment section. One person wrote, “These stray dogs are menace. Pet lover may argue ki lady might have done something to trigger them But i have seen cases where they attacked 3-4 year old kids.” Another person commented, “Why so many dogs are there, last year they attacked a kid, I think locality is the same.”
The woman’s husband, according to news agency PTI, shared the footage on social media on Saturday and urged residents to refrain from feeding the neighborhood’s street dogs to avoid a repeat of the tragedy. In order to stop attacks on other neighbors, he also advised them to feed stray animals in front of their separate houses.
