From Home System to Rooftop Garden

In actuality, this is not the only autorickshaw that has recently captured internet users’ attention. A Mumbai-based autorickshaw driver named Satyawan Gite made headlines in November 2019 for inventing a special “home system auto-rickshaw” featuring amenities including a washroom, phone charging ports, plants, and even a television screen. Take an aeroplane ride experience, reads a sticker on the rear of the car. Mahendra Kumar, an autorickshaw driver from Delhi, experienced a similar brush with fame in May of last year after a video showing a garden on top of his vehicle went viral. On the roof of his three-wheeler, Kumar had established a little kitchen garden with 25 different varieties of plants, including tomatoes, okra, snake gourd, and spinach. He claimed that the garden shielded him and his passengers from the sun’s rays and reduced the warmth inside the car.
