Viral Video: Republic Bharat Anchor Sweta Tripathi’s Hilarious Cyclone Simulation Goes Viral, Comical Coverage Draws Attention, Watch

Republic Bharat

Before Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall in Gujarat on Wednesday night, news anchor Sweta Tripathi had dominated Indian television news. Her place of employment, Republic Bharat, was right in the centre of that maelstrom. She put up a show, but it was a complete failure.

Sweta Tripathi’s Umbrella Dance Amid Impending Cyclone

On Thursday evening at around 7 o’clock, Cyclone Biparjoy made landfall over the coastal regions of Saurashtra and the Gulf of Kutch as a very severe cyclonic storm that produced unusually heavy rains, powerful gusts, and tidal waves.

According to the BBC, more than 150,000 people in the two nations were relocated before the storm made impact. Hours before the landfall, Republic Bharat anchor Sweta Tripathi aired a bulletin on the weather in Gujarat that has subsequently gone viral on social media. She presented a simulation of the actual situation while (barely) standing with an umbrella in the studio as she twisted and spun, dodged and swerved, stammered and tripped. The outcome was both amusing and pitiful. Hilarious due to its silliness and pitiful because it led to the caricature of what is essentially a natural calamity that might have a significant impact on thousands of people’s lives, according to Alt news report.

Republic Bharat’s Cyclone Footage Mirrors Hurricane Ian’s Devastation

Behind the anchor, a continuous image of Hurricane Ian making landfall in Florida in September 2022 could be seen. We saw a clip of the storm’s devastation that the Washington Post had posted on YouTube. The crimson building and the way the trees move are exactly like those in the Republic Bharat video.
