Viral Video: On Thursday evening, a private bus plunged into a river from a 20-foot-high culvert following a tyre burst, resulting in injuries to approximately 25 people. Video footage of the incident emerged on Friday, showing the bus colliding with the culvert before descending into the river. The incident was captured on the dashcam of another car trailing behind.
Bus fell due to tyre burst
The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of the Gogawa police station in the Khargone district of Madhya Pradesh, sometime between 5 pm and 6 pm. The bus, carrying numerous passengers, was crossing a 20-foot-high bridge spanning the river in Rodiya village when an unexpected tyre burst caused the bus to lose stability, ultimately leading to its plunge into the river.
Dr. Amar Singh Chauhan, the Civil Surgeon at the District Hospital, reported that the bus driver, Sunil, is in critical condition and has been admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to injuries to his head and legs. Additionally, individuals including Deba (the father of bus cleaner Jitendra), Manoj (husband of Seema Bai), and Ramesh (husband of Gyarasi Bai) are currently receiving treatment at the district hospital for minor injuries sustained in the accident. The remaining injured passengers have been discharged from Gogawan Hospital after receiving first aid, as their injuries were minor.
