32 Injured and Up to 20 Missing After Tragic Boulder Collapse on Furnas Lake
Officials report that at least 32 individuals were hurt and that up to 20 others were still be missing. At a press conference, Minas Gerais State Fire Department Commander Edgard Estevo reported that 32 persons had been hurt in addition to at least six fatalities. They also provided an update on the search for the accident’s missing individuals. According to the authorities, divers and helicopters were sent to Furnas Lake, a well-known tourist destination located about 418 kilometres (260 miles) north of Sao Paulo, to assist the visitors.
