Viral Video: Massive protests have taken place in Jammu and Kashmir over the killing of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah by the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF). Today, the streets of Budgam and Srinagar saw people shouting slogans and holding protests against the Israeli government. The protests are mainly concentrated in Shia-majority regions and have the echoes of anger and support for Nasrallah.

Kashmir Cyber Police Issues Warning

In response to the increasing tensions, the cyber police in Kashmir issued a stern advisory against the inflammatory and communal posts doing the rounds on social media. The police stated that a number of such posts have come up, threatening the disturbance of communal harmony in the valley. They urge users not to move or share content capable of provoking violence or hatred.

The advisory said strict action would be taken against anyone found guilty of posting, sharing, or promoting communal or provocative content. The police urged the community to come together and preserve peace and unity in the region. “Work together to maintain the unity and peace of Kashmir,” the advisory stressed.

Young Protester Declares Hezbollah’s Resilience

The protesters, united in Budgam, walked thousands of miles and shouted slogans in favor of Nasrallah. Among the protesters, there was a young girl who boldly declared that Hezbollah shall rise stronger with members emerging out of every house. “You may have killed a Hezbollah chief, but Hezbollah will come out of every house, I would like to assure Lebanon that they should not worry at all, because we are with them. The Shia community is with them. We will never abandon them.” she further said endorsing solidarity towards Palestine. Zee News posted this video of X (Formally Twitter).

The latest act of major political protest was marked by PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti’s decision to cancel her campaign event on September 29 because of protests. The cancellation by Mufti comes in the wake of Israel confirming Nasrallah’s death- an event which is deepening anger and unrest in the region.
