Viral Video: Many people think of tigers as fierce big cats that no one in the animal kingdom would dare to bother. Contrary to popular belief, tigers do not attack unless provoked or when they need to hunt. Ramesh Pandey, an IFS officer, shared a video that demonstrates this.
Video went viral
In the video, which was posted to Twitter, a tiger is hiding while a deer stands back from the big cat. The tiger passes the deer without much interest as the video goes on. The video’s caption states,he tiger is a monk. It won’t bother you, or be bothered by you. It tries to maintain its composure as much as it can. Even if you are around it, it will most likely be unfazed. And even when a tiger expresses its aggression, it is mock. It’s a construct.”
Netizens amazed by ‘monk-like’ behavior
The video shows that tigers only attack people or other animals when it is absolutely necessary for them to do so. Given that they are not pets and are capable of unpredictable behaviour, wild animals must be handled with respect and caution. Tigers must be protected because, like other animals, they are essential to keeping the ecosystem in balance. the video has garnered over 14k views. Many viewers were amazed by the tiger’s ‘monk-like’ behavior and commented on how big cats don’t hunt unless they are hungry.
