Viral Video: On social media, a video showing how an Uttar Pradesh monkey became wealthy is trending. However, according to the authorities, since the monkey stole the money, the aims do not justify the means. On Tuesday, the incident happened in Shahabad, Uttar Pradesh. The theft of a bag holding 1.5 lakh rupees in cash from a motorbike outside the registry office was seen on camera. Sharafat Hussain, the bike’s owner, had come to the office for a sale deed.
1.5 Lakh Rupees Recovered After Adventurous Pursuit
The monkey can be seen in the video inspecting the bags that are fastened to every bike in the parking lot outside the registry office. He thoroughly searches each of the available bags before scurrying off with one that contains 1.5 lakh in cash. When Hussain noticed the money had been taken, there was a commotion outside the office. But by that time, the monkey had left the area. The monkey was eventually discovered sitting on a tree after much searching. All of the money was still in the bag when the crowd successfully recovered it.
Crew to Capture and Release Monkeys into the Wild
The district administration acknowledged the monkey problem in Shahabad and promised to soon recruit a crew to capture the animals and release them back into the wild. Anil Kumar, the deputy district magistrate for Shahabad, stated that they would initially attempt to lessen the monkey problem in the regions that were most impacted, and if necessary, they would subsequently pursue it throughout the entire region.
