Viral video: A chain thief wanted in 11 cases was apprehended by a Delhi police policeman acting alone. On Thursday, the Delhi police shared the incident’s video and praised policeman Satyendra for his bravery and quick thinking.
The constable can be seen riding his bike in the 19-second footage, slowing down as soon as he spots the offender approaching from the other side. After recognising the police officers, the history sheeter can be seen becoming alarmed and attempting to flee the area quickly. The chain snatcher makes a valiant effort to avoid Constable Satyendra’s grasp as he passes by him at precisely that moment.

The police department acknowledged Satyendra’s bravery by writing in Hindi, “Without caring about his life, constable Satyendra of Shahbad Dairy police station arrested a snatcher. With the arrest of this snatcher, 11 cases were solved. Legal proceedings are on. #HeroesOfDelhiPolice.”

Another instance of selflessness and superior performance occurred last month when Delhi police head-constable Sandeep Shahi put out a fire on a car at India Gate using fire extinguishers from DTC buses, preventing a serious accident.
