Viral Video: After a fight with a passenger in the Trichy area of Tamil Nadu, a group of five men attacked the conductor of a privately owned bus. The event happened on Saturday night and was recorded by a CCTV camera installed inside the bus. The fight occurred on a bus going from Chathiram to Thuvakudi when a female passenger failed to get down at the Varaganeri Chulaikarai Mariyamman shrine.
Altercation Over Drop-off Location
The passenger and the conductor got into a fight after the conductor, named as Mookaiyan, dropped her off a little bit farther from her desired location. The five men got aboard the bus and beat the conductor after it returned to Chathiram bus terminal. They claimed that the conductor had verbally harassed the female passenger. After hitting the conductor, the attackers tried to take his cash bag.
Heroic Intervention by Female Passengers
Female passengers intervened and put themselves between the conductor and his attackers, saving him. The Gandhi Market Police have opened an investigation into the incident after receiving a complaint from the conductor.
