Ignoring warnings
The incident serves as a reminder of the increasing disregard for safety warnings issued by authorities. Despite being cautioned against approaching river banks during the rainy season, tourists continue to risk their lives for the sake of capturing selfies. During the monsoon season, rivers experience a significantly stronger flow of water, making the areas near them extremely dangerous. Ignoring these hazards and venturing close for selfies puts individuals at serious risk.
