Animal Viral Video: Recently, a buffalo and a snake had an unusually heated interaction captured in a video that went viral on social media. The account @itz__akhil__5k posted this viral video on Instagram, where it quickly gained over 499,000 likes and a startling 26 million views.
The video shows the buffalo and the snake in close proximity to one another. The snake initially appears to be at ease as it sits just in front of the buffalo. But suddenly, the snake strikes and bites the buffalo’s face. Unexpectedly, the buffalo approaches the snake lovingly, licking and nuzzling it as though expressing affection, instead of running away in fear. The snake no longer acts aggressively, perhaps as a result of the buffalo’s calm demeanour.
Animal Viral Video Sparks Backlash Against the Cameraman
Many viewers are perplexed as to why the cameraman who recorded the horrible incident and gone viral, did not intervene to aid. Social media users haven’t held back when criticising, asking why the person filming the buffalo let the snake bite it without doing anything? In the comment section, some viewers voiced worries about the buffalo’s health and questioned why the cameraman hadn’t moved the animal to safety before wrapping up the video.
Viewers Voice Their Concerns
Many online users expressed their displeasure over the video and debated its morality. A user brought out the fact that cameramen frequently choose not to assist animals in need. Considering the danger to the buffalo’s safety, a different viewer questioned why the video was made at all. These responses demonstrate how viewers’ unease with viral videos that put amusement before the welfare of the animals involved is growing.
Debate Over Animal Safety in Viral Videos
This incident has reignited the debate over how animals are treated in viral videos. While such content may garner millions of views, many believe that the focus should be on protecting the animals rather than creating dramatic moments for social media.
