BPSC Protest Viral Video: In the heart of Patna, a fierce protest has erupted, shaking up the political and educational landscape of Bihar. BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) candidates have come together to challenge the normalisation policy introduced in the 70th Civil Services Examination. Despite facing police action, including violent lathi charges, the students’ determination to fight for their cause has only grown stronger.
Amidst this unrest, the movement has found support from two of the country’s most respected educators—Khan Sir and Guru Rahman. Their solidarity with the protesting candidates has provided hope and strength to the students as they continue their fight against the policy.
Khan Sir and Guru Rahman Show Solidarity with BPSC Candidates
In the viral video, Khan Sir can be heard urging the students to sing the motivational song: "Insaf ki dagar pe, baccho dikhao chal ke, Yeh desh hai tumhara, neta ho tumhi kal ke."

Khan Sir encouraged the students to remain peaceful, saying: "We will protest in a peaceful manner. We must let go of personal gains for the greater good. I salute this boy who, despite enduring a severe lathi charge, hasn’t lost courage. We must not return empty-handed. I stand with you all. After teaching for four hours, I am here shouting my lungs out, without eating anything. I pledge to support you."
Guru Rahman and Khan Sir Deny Supporting Normalisation Policy
Guru Rahman echoed these sentiments, adding: "Who spread the rumor that Rahman and Khan supported normalisation? We would rather die than back down."
The clips of their powerful statements have gone viral on social media.
The protests outside the BPSC office have drawn large crowds of candidates. Their primary demand is the removal of the normalisation policy applied in the 70th Civil Services Examination. The candidates insist that the government issue a formal notification through the commission to scrap this system.
The protest has not been without challenges. Earlier, the police resorted to lathi charges to disperse the demonstrators. However, this did not dampen their spirit. The streets of Patna continue to witness a growing number of determined voices rallying against the policy.
BPSC Candidates Criticise Normalisation Policy for Discrepancies in Scores
The normalisation process is a statistical method used to balance variations in difficulty across multiple exam sessions. While it is meant to ensure fairness, candidates argue that its implementation in the BPSC exams has led to discrepancies in scores, disadvantaging many aspirants.
