Wedding videos are all over social media; some are humorous, and others show arguments about dowries. The video that went viral today belongs to the latter group.
Greedy Groom Gets Taught a Lesson Over Dowry Demands
Unfortunately, demanding a dowry at a wedding has been a standard practice. Some continue to demand dowries with force, even in spite of strong laws against it. They can even dissolve the marriage if their demands are not satisfied. One such occurrence is the subject of a viral video right now. In this video, the bride’s family was forced to pay a dowry by the greedy groom’s family. The bride’s family, on the other hand, reacted quickly, holding the groom captive and even giving him a lesson.
In the video, which was posted to YouTube by an account going by the name “Mr Dr Bittu Sharma,” the groom is seated, and an older guy who looks to be his father sits next to him. They are surrounded by a sizable group of people who are yelling about the dowry. The voice of a woman asking, “Will you still take dowry now?” can be heard in the video. Another man is seen criticising and humiliating them in the meantime while waving a heavy stick and bringing up the dowry. The scene in the video leaves viewers in disbelief.
Public Outrage Over the Viral Video
Many viewers have shown their displeasure on the video by stating that the guy deserved what he got. While some are highlighting the groom’s odd look, others are saying he seems to be under the influence of something. With more than 1,300 likes and a tonne of comments, the video has quickly become viral.
