DUSU Viral Video: A shocking incident has gone viral during the Delhi University Student Union (DUSU) Election 2024. A video shows a scuffle between a professor and members of the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI). This took place at the North Campus of Delhi University. Lokesh Chaudhary, the NSUI candidate for Joint Secretary, was involved in the fight with the professor.

The DUSU viral video was posted by IANS on X (formerly Twitter). The post claimed, “The NSUI candidate for Joint Secretary in the DUSU elections tried to capture a booth at Law Centre-2 in North Campus, Delhi. He allegedly assaulted a professor.”

Fight at Polling Booth Disrupts DUSU Election 2024

The scuffle happened at the Law Centre-2 polling station. Lokesh Chaudhary, along with his supporters, allegedly tried to capture the booth. This led to a clash with a professor who was overseeing the polling process. The incident has created tension during the DUSU Election 2024. The election this year is mainly a battle between NSUI and the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP).

Security Tightened After the Incident

Voting for the DUSU Election 2024 began on Friday morning. Students across different colleges and departments of Delhi University are casting their votes. To prevent further incidents, the Delhi University administration and police have increased security outside the polling stations.

The NSUI has requested that the Delhi University administration and the police ensure fairness in the election. All student groups have called for a transparent election process.

High Court Delays DUSU Election Results

The results of the DUSU Election 2024 were initially set to be announced on September 28. However, the Delhi High Court has put the results on hold. The court has ordered that the results cannot be declared until all candidates remove their posters and banners from public spaces.

Voting in morning colleges has already taken place, and evening colleges will start voting later today. Despite the delay in results, the contest between NSUI and ABVP remains heated.
