As the controversy grew, Congress MP Kumari Selja voiced her concerns over the incident. She said, “I spoke to her, she is telling me that she was molested there. I have confirmed this from her, if this happens to any woman today, then what can be worse and more reprehensible than this. Action should be taken on this.”
The senior Congress leader also used the platform to address the ongoing Haryana Assembly Election 2024, noting the high voter turnout so far. “Despite this incident, people are turning out in large numbers to vote. The entire atmosphere in Haryana is in favor of Congress. People want an end to the BJP’s ten-year rule of misgovernance,” she added.
