The viral video was uploaded on the X account ‘Ghar ke kalesh.’ In the video, the woman relentlessly slaps and punches the thief, as the crowd watches. Nearby, the public gathers after realising that the man snatched a smartphone from the woman. Several people join in, kicking and punching the man, who is shirtless in the video, right in the middle of the road.

The video lasts 43 seconds. During this time, the public of Meerut relentlessly beats the man. The thief endures the crowd’s fury until a man intervenes and takes him to the side of the road. This action effectively ends the public beating.
