The unfortunate incident happened at Bhadana swimming pool, where 25-year-old Arshad, a Jai Nagar resident was having fun in the water with kids. One of the suspects, Bilal, shot Arshad in front of the whole public. According to reports, the incident that resulted in the murder started two days prior as a disagreement between Arshad and the two accused individuals, Danish and Bilal.
History of the Victim and Accused and Meerut Police Response
In response to the incident, the Meerut Police, via their official handle on X, confirmed the details of the crime. Meerut police revealed that Arshad was a known history-sheeter with 18 criminal cases registered against him at Nauchandi police station. Similarly, the accused Bilal, now on the run, also has a serious criminal background with cases of murder and attempted murder. Furthermore, the statement says, two teams have been deployed to capture the absconding suspects. The police are actively investigating the motive behind the murder, with suspicions linking it to the recent dispute between the victim and the accused.
