Seven huts collapsed in a drain in Vile Parle, Mumbai. No casualties have been reported in this incident. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation said that 24 huts have been evacuated due to security reasons and people have been shifted to BMC school.

A BMC official said that after the incident, two fire tenders reached the spot and worked to rescue the people. He said more than 30 slums have been damaged. At the same time, at least 24 nearby slums were evacuated and residents have been sent to a municipal school. They have been given food and water.
