Viral News

Viral News: In an Indian train, a Keralan passenger passed away when the upper berth seat is said to have fallen. He was seated on the seat of the bottom berth. Regarding this occurrence, a statement has also been released by the Railway Ministry. It claims that the disaster occurred because the bunk was not properly fitted with a chain.

Medical Response and Outcome

The event happened on the Millennium Express (number 12645), which travels from Delhi‘s Hazrat Nizamuddin station to Kerala‘s Ernakulam. June 15 saw the train depart Ernakulam, and on June 17 it arrived at the Hazrat Nizamuddin railway station. There were reports that an upper bunk in the S6 coach fell out of the train while it was traveling through Telangana. The individual occupying the bottom bunk sustained injuries as a result.

The train then came to a stop, and the passenger was transferred right away to the closest hospital. As to the Onmanorama news portal report, the patient passed away while receiving medical attention. The Railway Ministry has now provided clarification on this incident. It has been stated that the seat fell because the chain was not securely connected, even if the berth itself appeared to be fine.

Effects of Upper Berth Collapse

The passenger was taken to a hospital in Warangal, Telangana, after the upper berth collapsed. The passenger was paralyzed and had three shattered neck bones, according to the report. Despite three emergency procedures, he was not able to be rescued. According to the Railway Ministry, the reason the seat fell was that the upper berth seat’s chain was not securely connected. The train seat was in perfect condition.

According to the ministry, the seat was examined at the Hazrat Nizamuddin station in Delhi and was determined to be in good condition. The train was stopped at Telangana’s Ramagundam station as soon as the information about the injured passenger was received, according to the Railway Ministry. Once an ambulance was dispatched, the passenger was admitted to a neighboring hospital.
