Viral Video: Locals in the Bamba Road neighbourhood of Kanpur took decisive action against a dog that they claimed was a serious threat and had bitten kids. Residents are seen beating the dog with sticks in the CCTV footage from the site, a reaction driven by anger after their previous requests for help from the authorities were ignored.

The violent dog and its frequent assaults on kids were reported to the city authorities by the residents of Bamba Road. The Municipal Corporation did nothing in response to several concerns. The community felt forced to deal with the matter on its own as a result.
Community’s Desperate Measures
The dog had bitten two to three local children, according to a Facebook post that went along with the widely shared video. The post emphasised how the locals tried to notify the Municipal Corporation and how their worries went unanswered. The post in Hindi said, “People complained at Nagar Nigam, but the official body didn’t pay heed to it.”
Safety Concerns Ignored
To keep their kids safe, the residents took to the streets without any assistance from the government. The dog is mercilessly beaten in the now-viral video, rendering it defenceless on the road. Sadly, the footage also shows bikers passing past with little regard for the dog’s safety without stopping.
Call for Action
The incident has spurred discussion about the necessity of prompt civic authorities’ intervention to counter similar threats. Despite being severe, the residents’ actions highlight their desperation to protect their kids.
