A live debate video clip from “News 24” is quickly going viral. This video shows a Congress party leader using a word “Rundwa” (a derogatory term in Hindi, meaning “widower”). The video has caused quite a stir and social media users are responding to it quite strongly.

Congress Spokesperson’s Offensive Remark Against BJP Leader Goes Viral

For context, this incident occurred during a routine debate on ‘News 24’. During the discussion, Congress leader Supriya Shrinet became a topic of conversation. Responding to this, Congress spokesperson Surendra Rajput mentioned that she is the daughter of senior leader Harshvardhan Singh. In reaction to this, BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari accused Congress of promoting family politics. To this, the Congress spokesperson responded by saying, “We are family-oriented. What can we do if you people are ‘Rundwa’ (widowers)?” This video was posted by an X handle user, Dr. Monika Singh, and it has now been viewed by more than 130,000 people.

Social Media Reaction

The use of such offensive language during a live debate has sparked a heated discussion on social media. Users are expressing their concerns, saying that it is crucial to think deeply before using any language in politics. This is especially important because statements made during live debates or from public platforms reach a wide audience. If offensive language is used on these platforms, it can have a negative impact on society.
