Viral Video: Following a period of political turmoil in Bangladesh, there has been a notable transition in leadership, with an interim administration attempting to stabilise the situation. But in the midst of all of this, there have been reports of crimes committed against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh, which has led to political unrest in India as well. Numerous Hindu organisations nationwide, such as the Hindu Raksha Dal (HRD), have urged the Indian government to intervene effectively to resolve the issue.
In a separate event, some makeshift shelters in the Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad were vandalised and set on fire by members of the Hindu Raksha Dal (HRD). The group asserts that the fact that Bangladeshi Ghuspaithyas were living in these shelters is what prompted them to act in this way. This incident is the subject of a video that went viral on social media, sparking a lot of debate and controversy.
Viral Video Circulates on Social Media
The video was posted on the social media platform X by a user named Sachin Gupta, and it has since gained significant attention.
A video has quickly gone viral on social media, showing alleged members of the Hindu Raksha Dal vandalizing and setting fire to makeshift shelters. Based on the viral video, it is being claimed that members of this organization were deeply disturbed by the atrocities against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh and, in response, carried out this attack in the Kavi Nagar area of Ghaziabad. The organization asserts that the occupants of these shelters were Bangladeshi nationals, which prompted them to take this stand.
HRD’s Ultimatum
An prior warning from the Hindu Raksha Dal (HRD) has also surfaced in the wake of the vandalism and arson incidents. On August 7, Bhupendra, also known as Pinky Chaudhary, the national president of HRD, issued a warning threatening to take similar measures against Bangladeshis residing in India if the attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh did not stop within the next 24 hours. The burning and vandalism are allegedly a part of the HRD’s response to this persistent problem.
