Viral Video of Boy Praying on Burning Coals
A remarkable video related to this mourning has gone viral on social media. In this video, a young boy dressed in black is seen praying on burning coals. Surprisingly, the child is performing Sajda (prostration) on the burning embers without showing any fear or signs of being burned.
This video was shared on YouTube by a user named Hafiz Rauf Mewati. The caption explains, “Prayers on burning coals in remembrance of Imam Hussain’s martyrdom.” The video is quite distressing to watch. It shows a crowd of people, with some recording the boy’s actions.
What Was the Battle of Karbala?
The tenth day of Muharram, or the last day of the Battle of Karbala, falls on this day. In short, Hazrat Imam Hussain, the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, and his 72 companions were martyred in this battle for Islam and their rights against the army of Yazid. One of the saddest moments in Islamic history is believed to have occurred during the Battle of Karbala.
On this day, followers of Imam Hussain express their grief by walking on fire and injuring themselves, wishing they could have been there to support Imam Hussain in his battle. This act of mourning signifies their deep respect and remembrance of the sacrifices made in Karbala.
