Viral Video: Insane! Bengaluru Farmer Denied Entry to GT Mall Due to Dhoti Kurta, Netizens Up in Arms

Outrage Erupts as Bengaluru Man in Dhoti Denied Entry to GT Mall, Viral Video Sparks Debate

Viral Video

Viral Video: An emotional video circulating on social media depicts an elderly person being refused access to a Bengaluru shopping mall due to his traditional Indian dhoti attire. The incident has sparked outrage online, criticising the mall administration for their contempt for traditional clothing.

Incident at GT Mall

The man showed up at GT Mall on Tuesday night with his son, carrying movie tickets. However, because of the father’s clothing, security guards at the door halted them. In the video, the dad and his son are seen pleading with the security personnel, who respond that it is against the mall’s policy to admit anybody wearing dhotis.

Pleas Ignored

The mall supervisor allegedly was stubborn despite the father’s attempts to clarify that they had travelled a great distance and couldn’t change clothing. The security personnel reportedly insisted that the man change into pants if he wished to enter the mall.

Online Backlash

The viral video has sparked a wave of criticism and discussions on social media. Many users are condemning the mall’s management and security for disrespecting traditional attire. One user questioned, “Is it a crime to enter with dhoti in the mall? Why do malls sell the latest trending dhoti as fashion icons if they can’t respect our tradition?” Another user announced, “We stop going to GT Mall from today onwards. Who all are joining the campaign?”

Awaiting Mall’s Response

The GT Mall administration has not yet responded to the video as it is still making the rounds online, therefore many internet users are waiting for an official statement.
