Viral Video: A video went viral on social media of a woman abusing and assaulting a security guard, causing her prompt arrest. The incident took place at an up-scale residential society in Noida, with police immediately swinging into action to arrest her. She was sent to 14-day judicial custody later in the evening.
The woman, now identified as Bhavya Rai, was seen grabbing the guard by the neck. Reports say the woman got down from a sedan and got into an altercation with the guards at the entry gate of Jaypee Wishtown society.
The woman was apparently heated up over the guard merely being a little late to open the gate for her. After this video surfaced, Noida Police took cognizance of the matter. The video of the woman is being told of JP Green Wish Society, in Noida’s Sector-126.
After a while, the woman begins to hurl abuses and extremely vulgar language at the guard, whose colleagues continue to try and pacify her. She constantly keeps grabbing the patient guard’s collar, who exercises great restraint and pleads with her. She also made indecent gestures and made threatening and racist remarks against them.
“The woman was in an inebriated state and could not stand properly,” the security guard who was assaulted said.
An FIR was later registered after the incident invited massive outrage on social media.
“This woman is openly abusing this guard with so much hooliganism and abusing. What kind of vulgarity is this? @noidapolice Strict action is necessary against this woman,” Swati Maliwal, Chairperson of the Delhi Commission for Women, tweeted.
