The incident, reportedly sparked by a misplaced shirt, was captured on a CCTV camera installed within the residence. The footage came to light after the victim’s son, Preetham Suvarna, who works abroad, reviewed the recording.

Upon discovering the abuse, Suvarna immediately filed an FIR against his wife, leading to her arrest by the Mangaluru Police. The video, shared on social media with the caption “Disturbing Visuals: Heartwrenching assault of elderly father-in-law by daughter-in-law in Mangalore’s Kulasekhara,” has garnered widespread condemnation.
