The CCTV video, which has caused immense distress online, reveals the father attempting to board the escalator with both children. While holding the toddler in one hand, he likely tried to pull the older child, believed to be five years old, onto the moving steps, causing him to momentarily lose his balance. This unfortunate loss of grip resulted in the toddler’s fall from a significant height of approximately 40 feet.
Bystanders Rush to Help, But Tragedy Strikes
The horrific scene sparked immediate chaos as bystanders rushed to the child’s aid. Despite receiving prompt medical attention, news reports state that the child was declared dead upon arrival at the hospital.
