Yoshihide Suga is been elected as the new Prime Minister of Japan. He won the election by winning 314 seats out of 465 seats in Japan’s parliament.
Indian Prime Narendra Modi also congratulated Yoshihide Suga with his tweet.

Yoshihide Suga is Liberal Democratic Party’s head and he replaces his own party mate Shinzo Abe.
The former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was Japan’s longest-serving leader, and today itself he resigned from his post which cleared the path for Yoshihide Suga.
The former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was suffering from health problems related to colitis, which is a non-curable inflammatory bowel disease.
Suga is likely to announce his cabinet line up in the coming days which will also include a large number of appointees from the previous Prime Minister as well.
