Queen Elizabeth II Funeral: President Draupadi Murmu in London To Attend Queen’s Funeral

Queen Elizabeth II Funeral: On Saturday, September 17, President Droupadi Murmu flew into London in order to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s burial and express condolences on behalf of the Indian government. On Monday, September 19, the Queen Elizabeth II state funeral will take place at Westminster Abbey in London.
The coffin will be transported in procession from Westminster Abbey to London’s Wellington Arch after the state burial before continuing on to Windsor. The State Hearse will travel in procession from Windsor to St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where the monarch and her late husband Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, will be laid to rest.
On September 8, Queen Elizabeth II, the former monarch of the United Kingdom and head of the Commonwealth of Nations, passed away.

India grieved the loss of the Queen.

On September 11, India observed a national day of mourning in honour of Queen Elizabeth II. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and President Droupadi Murmu have previously sent their condolences.
She was hailed by PM Modi as a “stalwart,” who said that she “personified dignity and decency in public life” and “gave inspiring leadership to her nation and people.”
On September 12, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar paid a condolence visit to the British High Commission in New Delhi. On September 11, Sunday, India also observed a day of national sorrow.

International leaders are expected to attend the funeral

Until the morning of the funeral, when a number of global leaders, nobility, and other dignitaries will attend, members of the public may pass by the casket at any time.
For Monday’s burial of Queen Elizabeth, US Vice President Joe Biden landed in London.
Other world leaders who will attend the funeral include Vice President of China Wang Qishan, President of the European Council Charles Michel, President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, President of France Emmanuel Macron, President of Italy Sergio Mattarella, and Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg.

Nations that were excluded from the funeral

Russia, Myanmar, Belarus, Syria, Venezuela, and Afghanistan are a some of the nations that were not extended invitations to the Queen’s official burial.
