After a ruckus in Capitol Hill, the US Congress officially certifies Joe Biden as the winner of the US Elections.
There was a day-long protest in the capital city of the United States last night after President Donald Trump urged his supporters to come to Capitol Hill and support the Congress recounting against Joe Biden. Later in the day, the violence turned violent which resulted in the loss of four lives and injuries to hundreds.
Meanwhile, President Trump has conceded his defeat and released a statement saying that there will be an orderly transition on January 20.
“Even though I totally disagree with the outcome of the election, and the facts bear me out, nevertheless there will be an orderly transition on January 20th,” Trump said in a statement.
“I have always said we would continue our fight to ensure that only legal votes were counted. While this represents the end of the greatest first term in presidential history, it’s only the beginning of our fight to Make America Great Again,” said Trump.
