The T20 World Cup has been first organized in 2007 by International Cricket Council. The event generally takes place every two years although there are a few exceptions.

India's group stage schedule has been revealed, the team will play its first match on 5th June against Ireland then India vs Pakistan on 9th June, India vs USA - 12th June and India vs Ireland - 15th June.

There are 20 team that are taking part in the ICC T20 World Cup in 2024. Teams are India, Australia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies, England, South Africa, Afghanistan, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, USA, Namibia, Ireland, Netherlands, Scotland, Canada, Uganda and Oman.

There are four groups of five teams. Group A- India, Pakistan, USA, Canada and Ireland. Group B- Australia, England, Namibia, Oman and Scotland. Group C- Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea, Uganda and West Indies. Group D- Bangladesh, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Netherlands.

For the T20 World Cup, 20 teams are divided into four groups of 5 teams they'll play four matches against each team and the top two teams will qualify for the Super Eight. Then the teams will be divided into two groups of four teams each and the Top 2 teams from each group will face the other two teams in semifinals.

There have been eight seasons of the tournament before, and India won the first edition in 2007. Pakistan- 2009, England- 2010 and 2022 West Indies- 2012 and 2016, Sri Lanka- 2014, Australia in 2021.

All the match fixtures of India will be played in New York in Nassau County International cricket stadium except for Ind vs Can that will be played in Florida. The timing will be 8 PM onwards.
