IPL 2024 Title

Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday won the final match of the IPL Season 17 in Chennai. They chased the low-scoring target of 114 runs in 10.3 overs.

They lifted the trophy for the first time under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer and the third time overall. They won the title after 10 years.

Shah Rukh Khan's Support

Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan was present at the biggest night of the IPL season to support his team. He and his family have always been a pillar of strength for the KKR team.

As the Owner

Shah Rukh Khan, as the owner, is known to be a very relaxed person. During the live match broadcast, commentators mentioned that he rarely discusses cricket with Gautam, the team's mentor, but rather talks about everything else. He doesn't put pressure on his team.

Amazing Bowling

Last night, KKR's expensive bowler Mitchell Starc showed his class performance and why KKR bought him. He took two wickets in 3 overs with an economy rate of 4.67. Apart from him Harshit Rana, Varun, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine all proved their worth.

Venkatesh Iyer

KKR's batting was handled by Venkatesh Iyer. He managed to score a half-century even in a low-scoring match. He became the striker of the match.

Gautam's Return

Gautam has led Kolkata Knight Riders as captain from 2011 to 2017 and won two IPL titles. He has returned with the franchise this year as a Mentor this time and once again guided the team to win the IPL.

KKR won the first IPL trophy in 2012 under the captaincy of Gautam Gambhir. They played against CSK and beat them by 5 wickets.

KKR once again in 2014 emerged as the title winner, this time they beat Kings XI Punjab and lifted the trophy.
