11 Palestinians killed by Israeli troops in West Bank clash, Palestine president condemns the attack

As many as 11 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli troops, which include at least four gunmen and four civilians, while 102 people have been injured during the raid on Nablus, in occupied West Bank.

The Israeli military later responsibility of the raid, saying troops shot back after coming under fire while trying to detain militants suspected of planning imminent attacks. The official also informed that no Israeli casualties were reported.

The Israeli Army attacked Nabus with dozen of armoured vehicles and forces at 10 am. The Israeli soldiers surrounded a home occupied by two Palestine fighters in the wanted list. Hossam Isleem and Mohammad Abudlghani were killed. 

With the recent incident, the number the number of alestinians killed by Israeli forces since the start of 2023 has now risen to 61 people, including 13 children, in the occupied territories.

Palestinian President condemns the raid

“We condemn the occupation’s raid into Nablus and we call for an end to the continued attacks against our people,” said Nabil Abu Rudeineh, spokesperson for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

“The resistance in Gaza is monitoring the escalating crimes conducted by the enemy against our people in the occupied West Bank and is running out of patience,” Abu Ubaida, spokesman for the Hamas armed wing, said on Telegram.

Hamas, the militant group which controls the Gaza Strip, warned that it was “monitoring the escalating crimes conducted by the enemy against our people in the occupied West Bank and is running out of patience”.

Earlier this week, Palestinian Authority abandoned its push of a vote at the UN Security Council on a resolution which potentially have censured Israel’s new nationalist govt.
