7.3 magnitude earthquake jolts Southern Philippines

Southern Philippines have been shaken by a powerful offshore earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 7.3. However, there haven’t yet been any reports of injuries or fatalities.

Offshore Earthquake hits Philippines

According to the officials, the earthquake struck 352 kilometres southeast of Sarangani town in the Davao Oriental region at a depth of 64 kilometres at 2:06 p.m.

Many regions in Mindanao that endured devastation and temblor felt the aftershock of the tectonic quake.

Due to its location along the Pacific “Ring of Fire,” the Philippines experiences regular earthquakes.
