The war between Russia and Ukraine continues. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian military reported that they have killed over 800 Russian soldiers in the past few days. Most of them were killed during fighting in the Donetsk region. In a routine morning briefing on fighting, the Ukrainian military said on Thursday that Russian forces were launching an offensive in the Bakhmut sector. At the same time, Russian army attacks in the Avdeevka and Kupiansk areas have been unsuccessful.
Russia lost three of its tanks
The Ukrainian army said that along with its soldiers, the Russian army has also lost an aircraft, a helicopter and three tanks in the fighting in the past. It also reported that Russian air, missile and rocket attacks caused widespread civilian casualties in the Ukrainian-occupied city of Bakhmut and the cities of Kostiantynivka and Kurakhov in the Donetsk region. At the same time, a senior US administration official gave a grim assessment of the fighting around Bakhmut on Wednesday and said that given the situation in the region, it seems that the fighting will continue for months.
Meanwhile, in an evening video address, President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian troops outside Bakhmut were inflicting heavy losses on their opponents and that Russia was increasing its forces in the region. To help Ukraine in this war, France has sent AMX-10 RC armored fighting vehicle. Similarly, this is Ukraine’s first armored vehicle from the west. In addition, Australia has given Kyiv its 90 Bushmaster vehicles, capable of fighting against landmines and other threats.
America will also send help
The US is also considering sending Bradley Fighting Vehicles to Ukraine, which is fighting Europe’s biggest land conflict since 1945. This vehicle has a powerful gun, which makes it easy to fight. Since the invasion of Russia since February 24, many cities of Ukraine have been destroyed, millions of people had to leave their homes and thousands have been killed. Zelensky asked his allies for heavy combat vehicles such as the Abrams and the German-built Leopard tank. Apart from this, he has also thanked Macro for the help. He added that other allies would also show readiness to send their weapons following this move.
