G20 Summit: The majority of the world media have hailed India and spoken of its growing influence as the voice of the Global South as the G20 Summit effectively finished with unanimous support for the New Delhi Declaration.
The Washington Post praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi for tackling international challenges and achieving complete agreement on all geopolitical and developmental matters. The article that appeared at the top of the site was headlined, “India forges compromise among divided world powers at the G20 summit in a diplomatic win for Modi.”
The Gulf News, a Dubai-based publication, highlighted the 18th G20 Summit’s contribution to creating a diverse and peaceful world by titling its article, “18th G20 Summit: Shaping a World of Diversity and Harmony.”
The British daily broadsheet The Telegraph pondered India’s rise as a focal point of the New World Order as the G20 Summit came to a successful conclusion with a number of worthwhile proposals. “Why India is poised to become the centre of the New World Order,” the headline said.

India’s leadership throughout the G20 Summit emphasised the value of international multi-stakeholder cooperation in addressing shared issues like the climate crisis and illuminated the way towards world peace and green financing.
As the G20 Summit came to an end, Al Jazeera, based in Qatar, brought attention to Russia’s appreciation for the fair declaration. In their headline, they said, “Russia praises ‘balanced’ declaration as summit concludes.”
In a South China Morning Post article, it was stated that “US, Russia praise G20 summit declaration as India meeting closes.”
US Vice President Joe Biden stated on Sunday that the G20 meeting this year has shown that the organisation is still capable of advancing answers to the most urgent problems, like as the climate catastrophe, instability, and conflict.
