Taliban Police spokesperson has revealed that a bomb explosion has killed a Taliban appointed provincial governor and two others in Afghanistan’s Northern City Mazar-e-Sharif.
According to Mohammad Asif Waziri , the Taliban appointed spokesperson for local police chief, a bomb explosion killed Daud Muzmal and two others inside the governor’s office in Mazar-e Sharrif, the capital of Balkh province.

However, no one has taken responsibility for the attack, but suspicion of the attack has been pointed towards the regional affiliate of the Islamic State group ,also known as Islamic State in Khorasan province.
Islamic State Khorasan,has increased its attacks in Afghanistan since Taliban took over the reins of the country in August 2021 and targets have included Taliban patrols and members Afghanistan’s Shiite minority.
