Bangladesh: A deity idol in a Hindu temple in the Brahmanbaria area of Bangladesh was vandalised by a 36-year-old male. The incident happened on Thursday night and outraged the neighbourhood Hindus. The Niamat Pur Durga temple in Niamatpur village is where the incident took place. Khalil Mia has been named as the suspect. As word of the vandalism spread, the neighbourhood rapidly intervened and helped the police track down and apprehend the suspect.

Khalil Mia was arrested, but Brahmanbaria Police Superintendent Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain said the reason for it is yet unknown. Why he turned to such a heinous deed is still a mystery. The abrupt act of damage, according to Jagdish Das, the president of Niamatpur Sarvajanin Durga Temple, caused resentment and indignation among the neighborhood’s Hindu residents.

According to investigations, Khalil Mia was on his way to his sister’s home in Niamatpur village when the terrible incident took place. According to reports, a dispute with some locals got out of hand, and he ended up damaging not just one but five or six idols in the Durga shrine. Authorities have promised a thorough investigation, guaranteeing that the accused will face the proper legal repercussions.
