There was a blast in a house in Jauhar Town area of Lahore, Pakistan. According to the report of Geo News, two people have died in this blast, while 17 people were injured. The special thing is that this is the same area where the infamous terrorist Hafiz Saeed lived. Police and bomb disposal team along with rescue team has reached the spot.
Hafiz’s house is in this area, agencies are not yet confirming that the blast was targeted at Hafiz’s house itself. It is being claimed in some media reports that Hafiz Saeed is in jail these days.
At the same time, eyewitnesses say that the explosion was so strong, the windows of nearby houses and buildings were broken, a building was badly damaged and some vehicles parked at the blast site were also damaged. Rescue officials say 17 people have been injured and have been sent to Jinnah Hospital in private cars and auto-rickshaws.
At present, relief and rescue personnel have reached the spot and heavy security arrangements have been made. The explosion was so strong that the windows of the surrounding buildings were shattered. At the same time, many vehicles have also been damaged. The blast took place near Ahsan Mumtaz Hospital in Jauhar Town, Lahore.
According to the report, he is presently kept in Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat Jail along with other JuD leaders.
An Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore has sentenced Lashkar founder Saeed to a total of 36 years in jail till Section 11N of the Anti-Terrorism Act 1997 in five terror financing cases. These sentences will run concurrently so he will not have to stay in jail for long.
