Reactions from Pakistani citizens regarding the violence have been highlighted in a video by the YouTube channel “Nimra Ahmad Official.” The host asked citizens for their opinions on the assaults against Hindus in Canada and the broader implications of Khalistani separatism. One Pakistani man remarked, “Main to kehta hoon agar wo azadi maang rahe hain, India ko chahiye, to azadi de do. Itna bada India mulk hai.”

When the YouTuber inquired about Khalistanis as a community—specifically whether they are peacemakers or violent—this same man responded, “Wahan Canada mein, na, India ne wo ek harkat ki thi. Unka jo Khalistan ka leader tha, na, unhone uska qatal kiya tha Canada mein.”

After listening to this, the YouTuber clarified, “Sir, Nijjar was the number one separatist jo India ke andar separatism ko promote karta tha. Koi baahar ki country se baithkar Pakistan ke andar funding kar raha ho, toh kya hum uss insaan ko bardasht karenge?”

The views expressed were not limited to men. A Pakistani woman also shared her perspective on the violence. When asked how she would feel if her community faced similar attacks abroad, she stated, “Agar mere saath aisa hoga ya meri community ke saath aisa hoga to obvious si baat hai ki wo cheez main accept nahi karungi.”

Furthermore, she elaborated, “Canada ke jo Prime Minister hain, Justin Trudeau, wo to Khalistanis nahi bol sakte kyunki unko vote hi Khalistanis desh ke andar. Toh phir violence hi hoti rahegi. Wo same haalaat Pakistan wale hi hain, phir Canada banega Pakistan.” This perspective suggests she sees a parallel between the treatment of minorities in Pakistan and the current situation in Canada.

Is Canada Following a Path Resembling Pakistan’s?

This discussion raises important questions about Canada’s future. Some believe it is heading down a path reminiscent of Zia Ullah Khan’s era, a former Pakistani military general known for fostering extremism in the 1990s. His policies allowed various terrorist groups to gain a foothold, leading to increased violence. As Khalistani separatists continue to target India and Hindus, echoes of Zia Ullah Khan’s steps resonate in the rising tensions in Canada.

While Canada has long been viewed as a peaceful nation welcoming people from diverse backgrounds, recent incidents prompt serious concerns. The rise in Khalistani separatism and violence poses significant questions about Canada’s commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all communities, including Hindus.
