A day after the third Indo-US 2+2 ministerial dialogue, China described the LAC situation Wednesday as “generally stable” at the moment while asserting that the boundary issue is between India and China only.
China said its border standoff with India in eastern Ladakh is a bilateral issue, and asked the U.S. to “stop” its Indo-Pacific strategy, terming it as an attempt to impose American hegemony in the region.
Reacting to the US push for closer defence ties with India, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin told a media briefing here on Wednesday that “the border affairs between China and India are matters between the two countries.”
India and China have held 7 rounds of senior commanders’ conferences to resolve the navy standoff in Ladakh however with none breakthrough.
