Earthquake tremors were felt in Manila, Philippines on Tuesday. Its intensity was recorded at 6.0 on the Richter scale. According to the US Geological Survey, the tremors were felt at 2 pm local time. Their center remained in the province of Davao de Oro in the island of Mindanao.
Warnings of Aftershocks Issued
Earlier, on February 16, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 occurred in the Masbate region of the Philippines. However, no tsunami warning was issued due to this, nor was any damage confirmed due to this. While giving information, USGS had told that the epicenter of the earthquake was 11 kilometers away from the nearest village of Miaga in Uson Municipality of Masbate, the main island of the province. Due to the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria, 50 thousand people died. This incident of earthquake has spread panic all over the world.
Apart from the Philippines, frequent earthquake incidents are happening in many countries of the world, about which geologists have expressed concern. Earlier, many people had died due to floods in the Philippines. The beginning of the year was very sad for the Philippines.
