Update: Musk has since removed the post that claimed to have dismissed an engineer for engaging in a Twitter argument with him
Musk and Frohnhoefer’s argument started over a message about Twitter being slow. Musk apologised for Twitter being “very sluggish in many countries” in a message on Sunday. Soon after, Frohnhoefer replied to Musk’s tweet, saying, “I have spent 6yrs working on Twitter for Android and can tell this is false.” Frohnhoefer was soon fired from his position after a tense Twitter exchange between Musk and Frohnhoefer.
The two battled nonstop about Twitter’s technological difficulties. Infuriated by Frohnhoefer’s abrupt responses, Musk eventually questioned him about Twitter’s Sunday performance. Twitter is really sluggish on Android. He asked, “What have you done to fix that?” Three hours later, the dialogue was still going on, but it was becoming less clear.
Others who supported Musk and condemned Frohnhoefer for disputing with Musk on a public stage entered the Twitter discussion as well. He responded by adding that Musk should make his inquiries in private. He suggested “maybe using Slack or email.”

Musk’s Tweet
Musk revealed that he had let Frohnhoefer go in a series of tweets. He used a saluting emoji in his tweet response to Musk.
According to Frohnhoefer, who spoke to Forbes, he didn’t get any official notices of his termination from the business. He said, “My laptop just shut off and I can’t get into it.”
The engineer, 41, has used Twitter for more than 8 years. He found it difficult to comprehend how suddenly his relationship with the corporation ended.
“No one trusts anyone within the company anymore,” he claimed. “How can you function? Employees don’t trust the new management. Management doesn’t trust the employees. How do you think you’re supposed to get anything done? That’s why there’s production freezes – you can’t merge code, you can’t turn things on without permission from VPs,” he said.
