Elon Musk: Twitter CEO declares that tweets will have a view count feature similar to that of videos.

Elon Musk: The richest man on earth, has changed a number of things at Twitter since he took over as CEO. The CEO of Twitter recently announced that the network is introducing a new “view count” tool that will allow users to monitor the performance of their tweets. The tool will let users know how many people have viewed and interacted with their tweets, just like with YouTube videos. Prior to this, only users who tweeted used tweet analytics to track views.
Elon Musk stated in a tweet posted on Thursday, ”Twitter is rolling out View Count, so you can see how many times a tweet has been seen! This is normal for video. Shows how much more alive Twitter is than it may seem, as over 90% of Twitter users read, but don’t tweet, reply or like, as those are public actions.”

The functionality has reportedly been received by some Twitter users, but it doesn’t appear to be available to all users just yet, according to The Verge. The user only needs to tap on the tweet to use the new function; they will then see a small graph with the words “View Tweet Activity” next to it.

Earlier this month, Mr. Musk initially revealed the function and tweeted, “Tweets will show the view count in a few weeks, just like videos do. Twitter is much more alive than people think.”

He had earlier on December 19 declared that he would leave his position as Twitter’s CEO as soon as he found a successor. “As soon as I find someone naive enough to accept the position of CEO, I will step down from it! I will then only be in charge of the software and server teams “Musk tweeted something.

After Twitter users voted for Musk to quit in a poll that the billionaire started on Sunday night, this is the first time Musk has brought up leaving his position as the social media platform’s CEO.
