At least four people, including two policemen, were killed in an explosion near a police vehicle parked next to the Kandhari market in Shahrah-e-Iqbal, Quetta city of Pakistan. 15 others have been injured in this blast. According to the report of Pakistani news agency Dawn, SSP Operations Captain (Retd) Zohaib Mohsin has informed that the target of the blast was a police vehicle.
He said the explosives were planted in a motorcycle. Women and children are also included in the injured. SSP Mohsin said that the injured were immediately taken to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.
The police officer said, “According to initial information, three to four kg of explosives were used in the blast. Two vehicles including a police van were damaged due to the blast.”
According to Dawn report, a day earlier two policemen were killed and one was injured in an attack by unknown assailants in Killi Spine area of Kuchlak district.
