G20 Summit: According to U.S. President Joe Biden, the United States and its NATO partners are looking into the blast that claimed the lives of two individuals in Poland, but preliminary data suggests that it may not have been brought on by a missile fired from Russia.
Biden spoke at an emergency meeting of world leaders attending the G20 summit in Bali, Indonesia, on Wednesday, following a fatal explosion in the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland, not far from the Ukrainian border.

Russian-made missiles were to blame for the blasts as per authorities in Ukraine and Poland
Authorities in Ukraine and Poland said that Russian-made missiles were to blame for the blasts, which claimed two lives.
Biden responded that the trajectory showed otherwise when asked if it was too early to claim that any missile was fired from Russia.
“There is preliminary information that contests that,” he told reporters. “I don’t want to say that until we completely investigate it but it is unlikely … that it was fired from Russia, but we’ll see.”
Before taking any action, the U.S. and NATO nations would conduct a thorough investigation.
Many doubts remain regarding the statement, including if Biden intended to imply that Russia was most likely not at all responsible for the explosion. The White House was slow to provide an explanation for the statement.
However, Biden criticised Russia for escalating missile attacks within Ukraine, labelling recent strikes and accompanying civilian losses “absolutely unacceptable.”
Biden called the emergency meeting, according to the White House.
“We agreed to support Poland’s investigation into the explosion in rural Poland, near the Ukrainian border, and they’re going to make sure we figure out exactly what happened,” Biden added.
“And then we’re going to collectively determine our next step as we investigate and proceed. There was total unanimity among folks at the table.”
Later, a White House representative stated that Biden would approve the Polish investigation’s methodology but perhaps not its findings.
In addition to Biden, the gathering included leaders from Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Japan, Spain, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom.

A defensive coalition that also consists of Poland, includes all except Japan as part of NATO.
Deliberations on a potential military reaction might begin if it is found that Moscow was responsible for the explosion, using NATO’s Article 5 concept of collective defence, which states that an attack on one of the Western alliance’s members is considered an attack on all.
Poland has stated that it is determining whether it requires consultations under Article 4 of the pact, which enables NATO countries to bring any matter of concern, particularly one involving security, to the North Atlantic Council for debate.
Following Moscow’s denial that it was at fault, Poland summoned the country’s ambassador to Warsaw for an explanation.
